Lydia Mihalik is the Director of the Ohio Department of
Development. For more than four years, she and her dedicated
team have worked hard to make Ohio the best place to live, learn,
work, and visit by investing billions of dollars in our people,
communities, and businesses.
Prior to her appointment by Governor Mike DeWine in 2019,
Director Mihalik served as the 55th Mayor of Findlay, where she
helped revitalize the city’s downtown and attract job creators from
around the world. Under the leadership of Governor DeWine and Lt.
Governor Husted, she’s putting that experience to work for all of
Ohio bringing public- and private-sector partners together to build
a thriving economy, support small businesses, prepare
communities for the future, construct a robust broadband
infrastructure, and expand the skills of our growing workforce.
