Historian

Elizabeth Tune is Supervisory Historian with Technical Preservation Services (TPS) at the National Park Service.  Prior to joining TPS in 2020, Elizabeth served as Director of Preservation Incentives at the Virginia Department of Historic Resources for fifteen years, overseeing Virginia’s historic rehabilitation tax credit program and historic preservation easement program.

Elizabeth has a B.A. in history from the University of Richmond and a M.F.A. in Historic Preservation from the Savannah College of Art and Design.  She lives in Richmond, Virginia with her husband, son and two dogs.
