Senior Project Director at Perspectus

Laura is a Senior Project Director in our Historic Architecture Studio. She has over 20 years of experience in Restoration, Rehabilitation and Adaptive Reuse of existing structures. Her passion for reusing existing buildings lies both in saving the history of the building as well as harnessing the embodied energy that these buildings have to offer. Past projects have encompassed a range of sizes and uses from small office spaces to large, multi-building, mixed-use facilities.  

Laura’s has extensive experience utilizing state and federal historic tax credits, as well as alternative compliance code to facilitate new design within an existing envelope. She is creative and detail oriented and excels in design, planning, documentation, and client relations.

Application of 2024 Ohio Existing Building Code (OEBC) to Historic Properties

This session, a collaboration between Perspectus Architecture and Osborn Engineering, will review the three compliance paths of the 2024 OEBC – Prescriptive Method, Work-Area Method, and Performance Method – and the architectural and engineering design application to building rehabilitation and historic preservation projects. This session will also include a look ahead to proposed changes to future editions of IEBC and the potential impact to historic buildings.
