President & CEO of the Cincinnati Development Fund
Joe Huber is the President and CEO of the Cincinnati Development Fund, a nonprofit Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI) based in Over-the-Rhine, Cincinnati. He stepped into the role of CEO in April 2022, succeeding long-time leader Jeanne Golliher, after serving in roles including Chief Operating Officer and Chief Lending Officer since joining the organization in 2006.
Historic preservation projects in urban cores often face financing challenges that conventional lending alone cannot address. Development funds can help bridge these gaps and create opportunities for rehabilitation and revitalization. This panel brings together leaders from the Cincinnati Development Fund and The Catalytic Fund to explore how their organizations have structured financing to support preservation and why investing in historic urban cores is central to their missions. Panelists will share examples of projects and discuss how development funds can leverage additional investment, overcome barriers to rehabilitation, and catalyze broader neighborhood revitalization.
