Jayme is a dedicated advocate for education and community engagement. Born and raised in Newark, Ohio, she has committed her life to making a positive impact on the lives of others.
Jayme's journey in education began at Heath High School, where she discovered her passion for teaching and learning. She went on to pursue her dreams, earning a Bachelor's degree in Special Education from Muskingum University and later, a Master's Degree in Educational Leadership. Her dedication to creating inclusive and supportive educational environments has garnered the respect and admiration of her colleagues and students .Jayme's dedication to professional growth is evident in her completion of the Secondary Transition endorsement program at Bowling Green State University. This additional qualification showcases her ongoing commitment to improving educational opportunities for students.
Currently, as a Career Development Coordinator at C-TEC (Career and Technology Education Centers of Licking County), Jayme plays a pivotal role in helping students develop the skills and knowledge they need for successful futures.
Jayme is not only a dedicated educator but also a dedicated community leader. She serves as a board member for the Young Leaders of Licking County, actively contributing to the region's growth and development. She actively participates in the Mentorship committee and holds the position of Chair for the Workforce & Education committee. Additionally, her involvement with the United Way of Licking County CPC committee and Karis' Cause committee reflects her unwavering commitment to making a positive impact on the lives of local residents.
As a volunteer and advisory council member at The Works, Jayme continues to inspire and support local educational and cultural initiatives. Her collaborative spirit and enthusiasm for creating opportunities for others are what truly set her apart.
In recognition of her outstanding contributions, Jayme was honored in 2021 as a recipient of the Newark Advocate's "20 Under 40" award, underlining her dedication to improving the lives of those around her.
