Building Trades Forum

This panel examines how traditional building trades can support the preservation, rehabilitation, and continued use of historic buildings. A diverse group of practitioners working across the preservation and building trades will share approaches to developing skilled workforces, creating pathways into traditional trades, and addressing the specialized skills needed to maintain historic properties. Panelists will discuss how workforce development can strengthen local capacity, support economic development, and contribute to the long-term stewardship of historic places. Participants will gain insight into the roles that tradespeople can play in building the growing preservation workforce.
